NSV!

Back a month before I had my Sleeve surgery I had a physical assessment at my local gym (which I was using to lose weight before I got my surgery date).

I had a follow up assessment today (11 months later) and I can honestly say I was AMAZED at the differences.. :)

-=10/25/2013=-

My blood pressure was HIGH, I weighed in at 391.6 Lbs, with a BMI of 50.4 (Morbidly Obese), 56% of my weight was Fat, my resting heart rate was 84 Beats per minute!

During a treadmill test (going 3.5 MPH they raise the incline up 1 each minute until my heart rate reaches 130 Beats Per Minute) I only got to 3 minutes.

When asked to do a push up I collapsed halfway through one, I only could reach out 9cm on the flexibility test (Sit and reach) and held a plank for 15 seconds.

-=Today 9/26/2024=-

My Blood pressure is OPTIMAL (right where is should be), I weighed in at 250.2 Lbs, with a BMI of 32.2 (Almost out of the regular Obese category), 27% of my weight is fat, and my resting heart rate now is 67 BPM (a normal resting heart rate is anything under 72 BPM).

During the Treadmill test I got to 11 Minutes (with an incline of 10) before I hit the 130 BPM blowing away my 3 minutes 11 months ago (went from needs improvement to EXCELLENT)!!  :)

I completed 6 push ups, reached out 27.5CM on the flexibility test (went from needs improvement to fair), and held a plank for 1 minute and 2 seconds (from needs improvement to GOOD)!!!!  :)

Not only did I improve on my activity but my overall body is much smaller (especially my waist, I have included the measurements in the attached photo).

What I love about this comparison is it shows that yes the surgery helped me lose weight, but it is ME that has been pushing myself to accomplish what I have done so far, and I will continue to do so.
I hope next year to do another one so I can compare it again and see the new changes...
